Another edition of EATIN' GOOD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
Yesterday me and my Huddersfield Hunny<buns> made a beef brisket pot
roast. Allow this old warburd-gone-army-cook to share his latest
culinary masterpiece whichya.
Cooking a fine pot roast requires a good liquid vehicle to accomplish
this masterpiece of culinary delight. And so, we put together a cup of
ketchup, about 12 ounces chicken stock, and a package of onion soup mix
(the dry kind).
First, we slapped that hunk o' brisket into a big ol' cast iron 10 quart
pot. No pre-sear on this puppy, folks! Then just mix that sauce up and
pour over dat meat. Next, as a topper for extra-fine flavor, sprinkle a
little granulated garlic over all (or use some fresh chopped if you
want). Cover and slap that sucker into you oven...
After two hours in dere at 325 degrees, feel free to add some veggies as
desired, then continue to cook for another hour or so, until them
veggies is as tender as a twelve-year-old ladyboy.
Serve the above with some brown rice.
